In 1977, my grandpa purchased 28 acres with an old farmhouse, a barn, and a lake, to which he crowned the Lucky H Ranch.
He had a vision when he bought this place, that it was not just any old piece of land. He wanted a slice of midwest paradise and a bass fishing haven where cattle roamed the pastures, champion racehorses were born and raised, and family and friends could come together. His legacy of hard work and love for the land still runs deep to this day, influencing everything we do.
Photographs of his many racehorses at the winners circle, including “Turn ‘Em Loose Big G” and “Saturday Noise” (just to name a few), hang in the basement under the original Lucky H sign that once welcomed people to the ranch. From fishing tournaments that have turned into legendary tales of “the one that got away” to summer concerts under the stars, Lucky H Ranch has served as the backdrop for countless celebrations—concerts, fishing tournaments, weddings, fish fries, family reunions—you name it.
In 2024, I launched the Lucky H brand that embodies everything my grandpa had built. However, I didn’t want this brand to merely be confined to the physical ranch. Whether you find yourself casting a line in a lake, losing your voice at a concert, or just kicking back with friends, Lucky H is about celebrating that authentic connection to the people and places that define you. My hope is that folks wearing Lucky H will adopt that very spirit of the ranch into their lives, wherever they might be, because we’re not just about ranch life; we’re about creating a community. A place where everyone feels like they belong, no matter if you hail from the city, the coast, or the countryside.
When you wear Lucky H, you’re not just sporting a brand; you’re carrying forward a legacy.
